WHISPERS TO AND FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT

Godly Changes

I want you to see
the changes
which you have
ask me to make
in you and that
I have granted.
Thus you must
now live these
changes so that
they exist
in your life.
These changes give
glory not to you
but to me.
Seeking and getting
Godly changes mean
nothing unless
you live it.
Take the changes
I have made in
you out of the
storage of your mind
and live them
with the love and
passion of your heart
and the guidance
of the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Don’s Reflection

This is a powerful Whisper. Basically, the Lord is telling me that He has given me the gifts I sought through the Holy Spirit. The Lord has given me Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Counsel, Fortitude, Piety, and Fear of the Lord. These are called the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. What the Lord is telling me in this Whisper is I need to use these gifts far more than I have, so my life can reflect his glory.  The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are not given to us for ourselves, no, they are given to us so by using these gifts we can help others.

Sadly, this Whisper is telling me you got the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, but you have stored them in your mind and not your heart.  I am not fully using the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You see when you draw things from your mind, it is much different than drawing them from your heart.  The former is intellectual, and the latter is spiritual.  Therein lies a huge difference

I never thought I had all the of Gifts of the Holy Spirit, but I did. It is just that  I did not see them enough in my life. It is similar to someone giving you a gift, and you don’t use it, and even worse, you don’t even open it. I have been given all these gifts, and the reason they are not manifesting God’s glory is that I do not use them enough for them to be seen or appreciated by others thereby manifesting the Glory of God.

The Lord always speaks truth through the Holy Spirit, and in this Whisper, he made the truth known. “Godly changes mean nothing unless you live them, fully live them.”

To be fair to myself, I have and do use the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, but I have done it selectively. These gifts now have to be me, my life as he Whispered,

Take the changes
I have made in
you out of the
storage of your mind
and live them
with love and
passion of your heart
and the guidance
of the Holy Spirit.

I am committed to doing this better each day in every way.

Dr. Don’s Comments

You should know the Gifts of the Holy Spirit for these are given to you in Baptism of the Holy Spirit. These gifts turn you from living your life your way to living your life as Jesus lived his.

They are gifts because they are given to you to help you with how you live your life. Now that the time to read these gifts and then ask yourself would your life be better today if you had used and lived these gifts in your past.

If you have a walk with Christ that is weak you are not using the gifts given to you by the Holy Spirit. You got them all but you are not using them. Maybe like me, you did not know you had them. You cannot use what you don’t know you have. But now you know, and you got a decision to make, and that is now that you know you have these gifts are you going to use them.

These gifts are given you not only so you can live your life better on this earth but they are given to you so that you can help others live their lives better too.  Another reason you have these gifts to use is it prepares you to become more perfect in Christ and ready yourself for eternity with God the Father.

Get familiar with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The Gift of Wisdom is our ability to value spiritual things over worldly ones. It enables us to desire the things of God and correctly orders the things in our life. This gift helps us view the world through God’s perspective and the light of our faith. It instills a desire to contemplate the things of God.

The Gift of Understanding helps us grasp the truths of faith more easily and profoundly. Our human intellect cannot grasp all of God’s mysteries, but through the gift of understanding, we can be lead to truth, even when we do not fully comprehend. This gift strengthens our insight through prayer, scripture, and the sacraments.

The Gift of Right Judgment/Counsel acknowledges the difference between right and wrong and bestows proper judgment. A person with right judgment avoids sin and leads a life for Christ. Counsel inspires us to speak up and encourages others to do the correct thing. It bestows upon us prudence, allowing us to act promptly and rightly in the face of difficult situations.

The Gift of Courage/Fortitude sustains our decision to follow the will of God in any situation. It allows us to stand up and defend our faith, even when threatened by bodily injury or death. This gift allows us to be steadfast in our decisions to do well and to endure evil even when we do not want to.

The Gift of Knowledge is awareness of God’s plan. It is not simply an accumulation of facts, but rather an understanding of God’s purpose and how we ought to respond. Knowledge helps bring to light the temptations that we face and to discern whether to give in or live a life worthy of God’s approval.

The Gift of Pietyor Reverence is our obedience to God and our willingness to serve him. It is not just obedience through a sense of duty or obligation, but rather obedience out of love and devotion. It facilitates deeper respect and honor for God and His Church.

The Gift of Wonder and Awe/Fear of the Lord makes us aware of the glory and majesty of God. This gift is also synonymous with the “Fear of the Lord,” in which we dread sin and fear offending God. We fear displeasing God and losing our connection with him because of our love for Him. Wonder and awe increase our desire to draw closer to God and depart from sin.
