DO YOU HAVE A CONNECTION AND COMMITMENT TO THE HOLY SPIRIT? IF NOT THIS BLOG WILL HELP YOU LIVE IN, FOR, BY AND WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT SO YOU CAN HAVE A VITAL LINK TO JESUS CHRIST.
If you trust me only when things are going well then where is the faith in that? To trust me in the midst of life’s misery when to the world, all things seem hopeless. This is the faith of one who loves and knows God. To trust that all will be well in the face of the fires of hell, is to say,
“My God reigns!”
Dr. Don’s Reflection
This Whisper of the Holy Spirit came to me at a time when I was feeling down and really questioning God. I was in a financial mess, and it looks like there would be no way out. And then the Holy Spirit reminded me that I did not have any trouble trusting God when I had a lot of money. Then why should I not trust God when I was hurting financially? It is easy to trust God when things are going well, the whisper said to me; however, when things do not look so well, and all you can see is bleak, well that is where the faith of one who knows and loves God comes in.
It’s easy to thank God for a difficult time once you have lived through it and you’re looking back. But to praise God in the midst of your trial is true faith. It is the kind of faith that chases Satan away for he knows that he has little chance of corrupting a soul that believes in God even in dire times. This is the faith of Saints. The faith that sustains trust in all matters in life.
I may not have the faith of Saints, but I have been through enough challenges in my life that invited me to give up God but instead, I “let go and let God” handle it. And having done this enough times I am totally convinced of God’s provision and protection promises for those who love Him. I know the following to be true,
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

Have you ever really loved someone so deeply that you know he or she would do anything for you and that you were so sure of this you never even had to ask the one you love if this was so? Your love for God is so special, so deep, you are filled with trust. This is the way it should be with your love for God.
God has not kept his faithfulness a secret. He has spoken to you over and over again in the Bible telling you he is for real and will never leave you to yourself;
“God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrew 13:5,
God is faithful, 1 Corinthians 1:9
If you are faithful to God, God will be faithful to you in all things. There is no way faith can be broken with God unless you break that faith with him. God will never break faith with you. It is not in his supernatural nature, but it is our nature to walk away and break our faithfulness with him. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can remain faithful to Jesus, the son of God and the Father, himself.
